NPE 2018 in Orlando

Numerous discussions with customers and in-depth market analyses have made the demand increasingly concrete: high-quality compounds have the most important innovation and earnings potential in the polymer industry.

Product requirements have increased significantly. Products need to be even stronger, even more scratch-resistant, even more flame-retardant, even more weatherproof and at the same time even more resource-saving. This can only be achieved with a compounder that mixes in large quantities of aggregates well and thoroughly.

After one and a half years of intensive development, full of calculations, tests and prototype construction, the COMPEO is ready for the market. It combines the advantages of all previous BUSS series. The new state-of-the-art Compounder offers more variety in application, more flexibility in process engineering and more added value in compound production. It offers exactly what the market demands.

At the NPE 2018 in Orlando we presented our state-of-the-art cCompounder COMPEO for the first time. It was the ideal starting point for us, as around 11,000 visitors from 110 countries came to find out about new products and innovations in the field of plastics.

The impressive and high-contrast stand design attracted attention and directed interest to the elegant yet extremely functional machine design of our new COMPEO compounder, which significantly expands the application spectrum of the reciprocating Kneader technology for the plastics industry. The motto “Incredibly different” aptly underlines its performance in terms of an extended process window, high performance at low speeds, robustness and operational reliability.

“Visitors to the stand are very interested in the powerful features of COMPEO. Especially the compounder´s wide range of applications, the new screw geometries and the extended process windows are of great interest to the booth visitors”, Sales Manager Dana Pulvino summed up the second day of the exhibition.

Philip Nising, CEO of Buss AG, summarized the exhibition days in Orlando as follows: “I was really impressed by the in-depth technical discussions about the advantages of our new compounder generation. Customers, suppliers and the media visited our booth to get first hand information about how exactly BUSS innovates the compounding world. All in all, we got extremely good feedback and took home very positive motivation to push the market introduction of COMPEO to within the second half of 2018.”

The first fair was a success… now we will continue at PLAST in Milan, where we will present the COMPEO to European experts.
